Band Concert today
was a total failure. It seemed to me like we were never really together, never played the right dynamics, and missed a whole lot of accidentals. Maybe I’m just too harsh, but I personally thought it sounded terrible. Though part of the reason is probably that we were 300 people playing in the gym, but still. Blech. The parents loved it though, but they love everything. They don’t understand the technicality of music, I don’t think. We can play anything and they’re probably love it, just to support their kids. Ah well. At least it’s over. Oh and btw, our crappy conductor was wearing a short skirt, above her knees. And really high boots right below her knees. It did not seem appropriate at all. She kind of looked trashy…and she had a striped black polo? Weird. I’m surprised that she actually got hired. She doesn’t do anything in our class. A senior basically teachers our whole band & he doesn’t even get paid. It’s pretty sad.
